Michael’s visit to Lambano
June 21, 2006- July 4, 2006
This summer I had the blessing of traveling to Johannesburg, South Africa with my youth group from the Bible Church of Little Rock.  Our ministry there was to encourage the brethren at the Grace

The Door of Hope is a ministry built to glorify God by furthering His Kingdom around the globe. The idea started with the lines from the song “Share the Well” by the band Caedmon’s Call:

I’ve heard good people say, there’s nothing I can do it’s half a world away, Maybe you’ve got money, maybe you’ve got time, maybe you’ve got a living well that ain’t ever running dry.

The point of the ministry is simple: gather musicians who share the desire for God’s glory and use their talents to raise money for ministry through live concerts. The ministry will use gifts of both money and time to meet the physical and spiritual needs in missionary efforts on the other side of the world. We believe we are abundantly gifted in resources in this country: money, time and most importantly, the living well, Jesus Christ
An example of supported ministries is the Lambano Houses in South Africa. This ministry shelters children who have been abandoned by their parents because they have AIDS. Lambano House assumes the parenting role in the life of the children, teaching them the gospel from a young age. There are currently 24 children in the houses along with 21 Christian workers. There is obviously a significant risk for the workers, but Christ is powerful and in control, and lives are being changed by the gospel. Our desire is to support this type of ministry to further the gospel and make an impact on the world.
The Door of Hope is the idea of Across the Valley, a worship band from Little Rock, Arkansas. The vision will start right here in our own city and go wherever God leads. Will you join us?
Lambano House: 115 children assisted, 37 adopted, 22 in foster care/reunited with family, 7 placed in special needs                          homes, 20 passed, 25 Forever Lambano Babies
